My Message .. Give Your Body Some Downtime
With three grown children and five grandkids scattered between Atlanta, California and Cleveland, it’s a wonderful time when we are together as a family watching the kids from 6 to 18 interact, respect each other and enjoy their healthy and well mannered growth. Time with family is everything as it is with our personal family called our body .. it also needs sleep and downtime.
Years ago, driving through Clarkston, I heard a clear message from radio psychologist, Joyce Brothers. She said that in the past a vacation was a luxury but today it is a necessity. Truer words were never spoken. With all the stress it is important to chill, find downtime to relax unwind, reconnect, rest and rehabilitate. So, how often do you vacation and if not for days, find a few moments each day for yourself.
Our body needs rest to recover, to regenerate and to rebuild. A stressful cardiovascular, digestive, endocrine, musculoskeletal and nervous system falls on the others for balance and homeostasis and when that falters, our health and wellness suffers as well.
As a healthcare provider, I took it as my opportunity to assist you and members of our community with an alternative approach to healthcare. There is no lack of medication or surgical procedures only a lack of wellness and awareness. Begin to learn and appreciate your body and how it works as a unit all in harmony via the nervous system. Begin the process to be kind to yourself by avoiding stress, eating for the health of it and keeping your spine in line with timely adjustments.
In other words, give your body and mind the vacation it deserves by removing the roadblocks towards Health and Wellness
